Special requests should be made at the time of booking and specified on the booking form. Every endeavour will be made to accommodate special requests, but we cannot guarantee that they will be, nor will MadeiraWonderHikes.com be liable if special requests are not met.
All communications will be sent to the person named on the Booking form using the email address supplied unless you specify otherwise.
A low number of participants in any hiking tour may result in cancellation on short notice. "Low number of participants" is defined by us as too few bookings being taken to make the hiking tour viable. We may, at our discretion, alter any hike itinerary or cancel if there is a red alert issued by the local authorities or in a case of "force majeur". Force Majeur means unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond MadeiraWonderHikes.com control, the consequences of which neither MadeiraWonderHikes.com nor its agents could reasonably be expected to avoid, including, but not limited to, war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity (actual or threatened), industrial dispute, technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment, power failure, natural disaster, fire, flood, drought, and adverse weather conditions. In any case, you'll be offered an alternate date for the same hike or a full reimbursement.
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the hike will be refunded 100%. Cancellations carried out within 3 - 6 days will incur an administration fee of 10%. All cancellations must be advised by the signatory of the booking by phone or email at least 48 hours prior to any hike.
Great care is taken to ensure that the descriptions and information given in our website are accurate. However, mistakes can occur and MadeiraWonderHikes.com reserves the right to advise you of any change if any mistake is found before or after accepting your booking.
MadeiraWonderHikes.com has insurance cover as required by portuguese law in order to operate a business of this nature. All participants are insured on a individual basis and will be required to provide their full name and date of birth before the hike for insurance purposes.
Costs of both pickup and drop-off are included in the given price at the time of booking. If you are staying outside the boundary between the center of Câmara de Lobos and the center of Caniço, we will apply a supplement of 15,00 € per person to cover the costs. Alternatively, you may make arrangements to be picked up within that limit.
All prices are quoted in Euros and include all taxes.
By completing the booking form, you agree to accept the decisions of the mountain guide during the hike and transfer to and from location. We reserve the right to expel any participant from any hiking trip if they act in a manner which we feel it threatens the atmosphere and/or safety of other participants.
All hikes are conducted by an experienced and certified mountain guide.
